Why Be Aligned?

In our bodies, minds and lives, if something is out of alignment, we will know about it. 

Living in alignment is like having all the different parts of your life working together smoothly, like cogs in a clock. It means your body, mind, and feelings are in sync, creating a happy and balanced experience.
However, if one cog is damaged or not working properly, everything will be affected and you will be out of alignment. This is the case for both your life and your body. 
In our bodies, if our muscles, bones and joints are not in their optimal positions it can often lead to chronic pain conditions, reduced physical capability and a lack of enjoyment of life. This can have repercussions on our mental health & wellbeing and our daily lives. 

What Is YB Aligned?

I work with clients to give them tools to reduce pain, reconnect with their body and realign their bodies (and sometimes lives too). Using Posture and Gait Realignment I will give you back the power to move yourself out of pain and change habits, so that you don't move back into the same pain in future. Through realigning your body you can also work to release any emotional pain and trauma that you may be holding onto (knowingly or not) that can be causing you physical pain or preventing you from living the fulfilling life you dream of. 
I have seen and experienced profound results that small changes and movements in our bodies can make, and I am passionate about helping others achieve the same.

Online Classes

Through the Ixcehl System you can take part in our online Get Into Your Body Courses. As a group we will take you through seven areas of the body and teach you how to move and connect to them.

About Me

My name is Nush and I have been teaching Posture and Gait Realignment for over 2 years.

I came into teaching and sharing these pain relief methods after suffering from chronic back pain for over 25 years!

At age 11 I first went to see a specialist about my back, however he could not find any reason for my pain. This was the start of a long journey trying to get to the bottom of why I regularly suffered with lower back pain, often to the point I could not leave my bed. Despite seeing specialists, doctors and physiotherapists who carried out numerous tests, scans and physical assessments, no one could find anything "wrong" with me. They found some disc degeneration and possible curvatures in my spine, but I was assured these were normal for my age and that they would not be causing my pain. During this time I was having regular holistic treatments including massage, acupuncture and myofascial release, and while they helped, after a day or two I would find I was back in pain. 

Eventually, aged 37, I was told by an Orthopaedic Specialist that as long as I stayed on painkillers for the rest of my life, I wouldn't be in pain! I was not willing to accept this as an answer and decided then and there that I was going to find another solution. 

Around 6 months after that appointment, through some research and divine intervention I found Gary Ward, the founder of Anatomy in Motion - a method that determines exactly what movements you are missing or struggling to access, and uses corrective movements to re-educate the body to reorganise itself and take pressure of the system that is causing pain. Straight away, from listening to him on a podcast, I could see how this method was different and knew it was something I had to look into further. 

Gary's focus is working with practitioners (from PT's to podiatrists), training them in his method, so that the benefits can be spread around the world. Through him I was lucky enough to find Victoria from Ixchel Therapies & The Ixchel System. I embarked on her Get Into Your Body course, which is based on Gary's methodology, and since then I have not looked back. After just 7 weeks my back pain had almost completely gone!

Over the years I had often felt that the "specialists" were missing something and had asked these professionals if there might be something I was doing that was causing my pain, I was always told no. What I learned working with Victoria, and studying with Gary, was that even if one bone in your toe is out of alignment, your whole body can be affected and you could suffer massive pain as a result. All I kept thinking was "Why Has No One Told Me This Before?!"

I started my training in 2021 with Victoria and have since worked alongside her to deliver online classes to students all over the world and host regular in person workshops. Following further training in the AiM methodology, I am now working with clients one to one, as well as in group workshops, to help relieve their pain conditions. 

I used to think, like so many people do, that living with pain was inevitable, just a part of life and getting older. I am so glad to have discovered it is not! I wish I could go back to my 11 year old self and show her what I know now. Instead I am content to pass on my knowledge to others, help them take back ownership of their bodies and help as many people as I can to live a pain free! life!
